On 26 July 2026, the Button Factory in Dublin came alive with music, colour and culture as Peruvian Day 2026 welcomed around 600 attendees, making it the biggest Peruvian celebration ever held in Ireland.

Organised by Peru Fusion Ireland in partnership with Real Events, this fourth edition marked another major milestone for the Peruvian community, bringing together Peruvians, Latin Americans, Irish locals and visitors for an unforgettable day celebrating the richness and diversity of Peru.

A Journey Through Peru in Dance

One of the highlights of the day was the spectacular performance by Peru Fusion Ireland, who presented 11 traditional dances that took the audience on a journey through Peru’s three geographical regions: the Andes, the Coast and the Amazon.

Each choreography showcased a different part of Peru’s cultural identity, from colourful highland traditions and elegant coastal dances to energetic Afro-Peruvian rhythms and vibrant Amazonian celebrations. Months of rehearsals, authentic costumes and carefully produced staging came together to create a performance that received an incredible response from the audience.

A Full Day of Live Music

The entertainment continued throughout the day with an exciting lineup of live performances celebrating different styles of Peruvian music.

The afternoon featured Javier Carrillo and Band, performing Peruvian pop and rock classics before Johnny Arias from Locura Latina brought the audience to their feet with an energetic show featuring salsa, música criolla and cumbia.

To close the night, Gabriel Cavagna and Band delivered an unforgettable cumbia concert, transforming the venue into one of the biggest Latin dance floors in Dublin.

One of the biggest surprises of the evening came when Las Diablitas de la Cumbia made a special guest appearance, recreating the iconic Peruvian girl band Agua Bella in a performance that delighted the audience and became one of the most talked-about moments of the event.

Family Entertainment and Cultural Experiences

Peruvian Day offered much more than live performances.

Visitors had the opportunity to meet a life-size llama and an equally popular giant guinea pig (cuy), which quickly became favourites for photos with families and children throughout the day.

The event also featured a Latin American Craft Market, where visitors could discover handmade products and support talented entrepreneurs from Peru and across Latin America.

Guests also enjoyed a raffle with fantastic prizes generously donated by supporting businesses and sponsors, adding even more excitement to the celebration.

A Community Effort

Behind the scenes, Peruvian Day 2026 was made possible by an incredible team of volunteers.

For the first time, a dedicated Peruvian Day Organising Committee, made up of members of the Peruvian community in Ireland, worked alongside Peru Fusion Ireland and Real Events to help deliver the festival. Their commitment and passion played a vital role in making this year’s event the biggest and most ambitious edition to date.

As the event continues to grow each year, it reflects the strength of the Peruvian community in Ireland and the increasing interest in experiencing Peruvian culture.

Each edition has raised the standard of production, entertainment and cultural programming, and 2026 represented our most ambitious event yet.
