This Friday, 19 September, we at Peru Fusion are proud to be part of Culture Night Dublin, a citywide celebration of creativity, culture, and community. For us, it’s an incredible opportunity to share a piece of Peru with Ireland, through the rhythms, colours, and stories of our traditional dances.

Our Performance & Workshop

At 7:30 PM in Central Plaza (Dame Street, Dublin 2), we’ll begin with a 15-minute showcase featuring some of Peru’s most iconic folkloric dances. From the joyful beats of Festejo to the strength of the Huaylas, our performance will carry the energy and diversity of Peru’s coast, highlands, and Amazon.

But this won’t just be a performance, it’s an invitation. Straight after, we’ll lead a 30-minute dance workshop where you can try the steps yourself. Don’t worry if you’ve never danced before, this is about joy, rhythm, and connection.

A Night Full of Culture

We’re opening the evening at Central Plaza, but the night won’t end there! After us, the stage will continue to host more exciting acts and cultural showcases, filling the space with music, dance, and celebration late into the night. So if you join us, stay around, there’s a whole programme of events to enjoy.

Why This Matters

We created Peru Fusion in Ireland to keep our traditions alive and to share them with new friends. Every costume, every step, every rhythm tells a story of Peru, and now we bring those stories to the heart of Dublin.

This year is especially meaningful because Culture Night is celebrating its 20th anniversary. We were invited to speak about this on 103.2 Dublin City FM, where our own Director, Claudia Grandez, joined Culture Night Dublin Coordinator Melissa Nolan in an interview. Melissa reminded listeners that “Culture Night is about opening doors for communities to share their stories, their art, their heritage.” For us, being part of that vision is a dream come true.
